How we started

The What Works Centre for Wellbeing was announced on October 29th 2014 at events in London, with BIS and BT, Jo Swinson & Gus O'Donnelland in Bristol, with the Mayor of Bristol and Happy City.

Also published on 29th October were:

  1. Evidence programme call (deadline for applications 21 January 2015)
  2. BIS report on worker wellbeing and workplace performance
  3. ONS  3 year personal wellbeing dataset 2011/14 and analysis smoking and wellbeing in Bristol
  4. Pioneer case studies from BT and Happy City

Before the announcement there was an event held by the Alliance for Useful Evidence that was part of the development of the new Centre.
