Workplace wellbeing survey for schools and colleges

Intro
What gets measured, gets managed.
To understand how staff are doing with respect to the five drivers of workplace wellbeing, and core elements of job quality, we recommend measuring staff wellbeing at regular intervals.
Collecting this data at regular intervals will help you to identify individuals and groups who are at risk of low wellbeing, as well as specific aspects of work (physical hazards) or aspects of wellbeing (mental health) which could be improved with well-designed interventions.
As you build your understanding of staff wellbeing you might like to explore our workplace wellbeing question bank and the Working Lives of Teachers and Leaders survey to tailor and adapt your survey to meet your specific needs.
Recommended questions and scales
The survey comprises 20 questions:
- 13 questions are the national recommended questions to measure employee wellbeing
- 3 questions have been included from the What Works Centre for Wellbeing workplace wellbeing question bank
