Wellbeing is the idea that we can judge a society by how much the people are thriving. It’s the ultimate goal of policy: it brings together the social, economic and environmental.
This programme of work was designed and developed to strengthen the wellbeing impact of local government policy making in the UK. The report, which can be downloaded at the top of this page, contains three sections encompassing a three-year programme:
- Introduction of the programme and wellbeing evidence and policy
- Document analysis
- Identifying core skills of wellbeing policy practice
It also includes the experiences of the local authorities we worked with as part of the programme as they worked on developing and designing their own wellbeing policies.
In addition to the report and as part of the programme, a downloadable maturity model for wellbeing policy making was created.
